PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

??Monitor key SPR risks for Talisman activities in Malaysia on a quarterly basis
??Assist CR Specialist to promote, implement and administer Talisman?s community contributions programme as an integral part of the reputational risk management model and as per corporate guidelines
??Represent CR Specialist in inter-departmental meetings as required/requested
??Assist CR Specialist to monitor Corporate Ethics Training Program
??Conduct basic research related to identified SPR issues for Malaysia
??Monitor industry and general CR developments at a national and regional level

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

??Position reports to CA/CR Specialist
??Department reports to Country Manager, Talisman Malaysia Limited
??Department also has functional reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Talisman Energy Incorporated, in Calgary, Canada
??Corporate Affairs is a team member for new projects/acquisitions
?

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

The jobholder should have a Bachelor?s Degree in one of the following areas:
??Political Science
??Law
??Community Development
??Social Work
??Social Sciences
??Health Safety & Environment
??Business

?

Experience & Requirements

The jobholder should have the following:

1.?minimum 2 years working experience in research, non-financial risk assessment, corporate responsibility (preferably in the extractive industries) and/or community development
2.?willingness to learn on the job is essential
3.?experience working in teams or projects that managed multi-stakeholder relationships would be an advantage
4.?previous experience and knowledge of the oil and gas industry would be an advantage but not essential
5.?good knowledge of Malaysian government and general political affairs
6.?Malaysian Citizen

Special Skills

1.?Availability to work after hours, weekends and public holidays as required by community projects
2.?Availability to travel within Malaysia as well as regionally, including remote locations
3.?Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written are essential?
4.?Excellent Bahasa Malaysia communication skills is preferred
5.?Excellent intercultural skills
6.?Research and analytical skills
7.?Ability to function as part of a team while functioning with minimal supervision
8.?Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software
