Running out of gas is never fun and usually means either calling for roadside assistance or walking to the nearest gas station. Extra Fuel is a convenient way to carry a half gallon of fuel that won't accidentally blow up.
It's not terribly cheap - at $24.99 a half gallon it's definitely only for emergencies, but if you happen to run out in an area without cell phone coverage it should give you an extra 10-20 miles to get to the nearest gas station.
Extra Fuel is non-flammable gasoline derivative that doesn't contain butanes, pentanes, hexanes, or heptanes that are dangerous to store in your car trunk. It is 91 octane and will work in any gasoline engine so it can also be used in your boat, motorcycle, RV, or lawnmower. The derivative pushes the residual gasoline left in the fuel line and the bottom of your gas tank to get the car started and once the engine is running Extra Fuel keeps it going for however long your car can go on a half-gallon. According to the manufacturer it develops less pressure in your trunk on a hot summer day than a container of orange juice and has an unlimited shelf life.
All in all it seems like a solid choice to add to your car emergency kit. You can buy it from Amazon or directly from the manufacturer at their homepage below.
